DR ANIL RAMDEO - Specialist Obstetrician/Gynaecology/Reproductive Medicine
Sub-speciality - Independent Practice (hpcsa)

Dr Ramdeo did his undergraduate training in Dublin (Ireland) and postgraduate training in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at the C.A.R.E. Clinic in Westville.

Dr Anil Ramdeo worked as a research registrar in the Regional Fertility Centre, Belfast. This unit provided a tertiary referral service in Gynaecological endocrinology and all forms of Assisted Conception.

He trained under the personal supervision of Dr A Traub (Director of the unit) and Professor William Thompson (Head of the University Department).
Dr Ramdeo was involved in both research and clinical work and gained extensive experience in all areas of Assisted Conception

MR K.K. NAIDOO - Senior embryologist ICSI consultant and PGD Expert. Kinnon joined the C.A.R.E Clinic from King Edward V Hospital in April 2000. He is a trained medical technologist. Kinnon has trained both locally and overseas (London in Embryology, Andrology, Cryobiology and Pre-genetic Diagnosis. Kinnon has been a key member of our team to achieve the first Frozen Embryo Pregnancy and the first PGD baby to be born in KZN to be born in October 2006.

HUGHLENE BAKER - Junior embryologist / andrologist Hughlene has a National Diploma in Reproductive Biology. She has gained her experience in the Andrology Lab by handling Semen Analysis; Sperm wash & Freeze as well as PCR Wash & Freeze. In the Embryology she is experienced in the following: • Egg Retrievals • Invitro fertilization (IVF) and Intra Cytoplasmic Injection (ICSI). • Embryo freezing and Embryo thawing. • Embryo transfers

CHERYL HARRILALL - Nurse consultant Cheryl joined the C.A.R.E. Clinic team in 2008 with experience in a number of medical and surgical fields. Cheryl is qualified in General Nursing and has a Diploma in Medical and Surgical Nursing science. She has worked in St. Augustines Hospital as an Enrolled Nurse and Westville Hospital theatre as a Scrub Sister for 14years where she gained experience in a variety of surgical fields. Cheryl has certificates in the following courses: • ACLS (Advanced Critical Life Support) • BLS (Basic Life Support) • Anaesthetic Nursing
